Chiropractic care

Aims to eliminate disorders of the nervous, musculoskeletal system, not only the resulting pain states. Disorders and pain in the nervous system, musculoskeletal system impair the strength, responsiveness and elasticity of the muscles, thus exposing the body to injury and lowering maximum performance.

Chiropractor adjustment (HVLA – joint manipulation) is one of hundreds of manual skills applied by a chiropractor, which changes the sensory (sensory information) interpretation of your brain. Studies have shown that through properly performed chiropractic treatment, for example, it is easier to control the back and limbs, because the brain perceives the body better. Through optimal sensory information, the cerebellum can coordinate the right movement patterns (motor engrams) more easily and thus the athlete gets more out of their performance and / or rehabilitation. We also know that chiropractic therapy - adjustment - increases muscle strength and prevents muscle fatigue (1-11)."

The chiropractor applies , among other things, manual muscle testing, with which he seeks to find and eliminate body movement disorders that have led to functional muscle weakness and hypertonia states. Functional muscle weakness can often be imperceptible, but if prolonged, leads to more complex musculoskeletal dysfunctions and pain conditions.

Proactive treatment is also an important part of the life of an active athlete and an elite athlete. It is a good idea to have the body of an elite athlete checked at regular intervals to maintain maximum performance and avoid injuries.

Along with manual muscle testing, chiropractors apply a wide range of motion control tests to assess an athlete's mobility, muscle balance, motor and movement control. These problems are tackled with various movement control exercises. Through good control, we proceed progressively to strength and speed training as needed.

In preventive treatments as well as in the rehabilitation of sports injuries, seamless cooperation between the doctor, chiropractor and physiotherapist is very important in order to reach the goals as quickly as possible.

Sports Physiotherapy

The human body is loaded as a result of repeated exertion, which can cause joints and muscles to be pushed to the extreme. As a result, the risk of exposure to injuries increases. Sports physiotherapy aims to enable healthy and developing training days for the individual by paying attention to the overall load, both physically and mentally.

Sports physiotherapy can be used to support sports training and to prevent factors causing injuries. Rehabilitation after an injury or surgery is carried out progressively, maintaining and developing the physical characteristics required by the sport, enabling an effective and safe return to the sport.

When to Become a Sports Physiotherapist?

Sports physiotherapy is suitable for beginners, active exercisers and competitive athletes, regardless of age. The goal is always to find out the answers to the questions what and why and explain these to the client so that in the future the training would be as optimal as possible in relation to the individual's goals.

Against the background of the problem, especially in young athletes, there is usually a state of overload, due to which the tissue is irritated. The task of a sports physiotherapist is to explain to the athlete the mechanism of pain, the physiological causes of the load behind this and find ways to prevent re-irritation of the tissue. The most optimal thing would be to prevent sports injuries even before the overload gets too far.

Sports physiotherapy can be part of an athlete's everyday life without injuries or ailments with the aim of maintaining and developing performance. With sports physiotherapy, you get individual means to support your training. The training takes into account the body and its function as a whole, focuses on finding out the causes and aims to perform biomechanically correct movement patterns. There is incontrovertible evidence for strength training, for example, in the treatment of tendinopathies, or tendon injuries. Training is always supported with manual therapy as needed to ensure that the training proceeds as optimally and efficiently as possible.
