I have been working as a physiotherapist since 2014, the last 3 years with athletes. I have supported athletes in both individual and team sports. However, my experience is most extensive in athletics, where I have worked with athletes at World Championship and Olympic level. In addition to athletics, my sporting experience has been wide-ranging, including volleyball, ice hockey, handball, swimming, triathlon, orienteering and gymnastics.
As a physiotherapist, my own practice is based on careful research and the conclusions I draw from it. I always try to find the cause and effect of the problem, not just treat the symptom. In addition to manual therapy, I use individually designed exercises.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of age and fitness level. I have been working with athletes and people involved in sport for many years and believe I can help them with even the most challenging problems. With athletes, I am particularly interested in developing trainability, even if there are no specific problems. Coaches are also welcome to come along.
My area of expertise includes the treatment and rehabilitation of various TULE-related conditions. I have special expertise in manual techniques and exercises for the foot, ankle and shoulder. I also have a special interest in the rehabilitation of stress injuries in young people and the factors associated with these injuries.
I am currently also the physiotherapist in charge of the Turku Region Sports Academy and I work daily as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A warm welcome to treatment!
